This beautifully renovated cottage offers southwest facing accommodation with wonderful views over the surrounding woodland and countryside. The property retains its traditional features but is also furnished with all the home comforts, from feather pillows to a woodburning stove. The cottage is in a private setting and guests have exclusive use of the large swimming pool and all weather tennis court. Pick fruit from the adjacent orchard and sample our Estate produced wine which we will ensure is available upon arrival. Wander through the estate or just relax on your own terrace and watch the sun slip beyond the horizon.
Interior Details
The spacious accommodation comprises of a fully equipped kitchen/diner, a lounge, a ground floor bedroom and a bathroom with bath, WC and walk-in shower. There is also a separate WC adjacent to the bathroom. The first floor bedroom is usually a double however both bedrooms can be configured to requirements. The beds are big and comfortable, and the pillows are feather. UK Freeview is provided and WiFi internet access is available. Although the cottage sleeps 5 comfortably it can accommodate 6 relatively easily.
Exterior Details
The kitchen opens out onto a huge south-facing terrace which is perfect for reading or eating meals in the sunshine. The 15m pool has a large shallow end for children and the cottage has full use of the all-weather tennis court. La Petite Grand Pierre benefits from its own private access to and from the property. All guests have complete freedom to wander through the estate as they wish.
Further Details
A generous welcome pack is provided together with estate produced wine. Good quality linen is also provided, as are bath towels and pool towels. All linen and towels are replaced at the end of first week's rental period. Extra cleaning can be arranged at further cost. Grand Pierre is very baby friendly and we are happy to provide cots, cot linen, baby bath, childrens DVDs, books, toys etc. If you have any specific requirements then please let us know - we will do our best to help.
Conditions of Rental
A deposit of 30% of the holiday cost is required to secure the booking. Remainder to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. For bookings made within the 6 week period prior to arrival the full holiday cost will be charged. No smoking inside the property. Changeover day is normally Saturday but this may be flexible depending on occupancy and season.
The area surrounding La Petite Grand Pierre
Glorious countryside, spectacular chateaux, Medieval fortified villages and the nearby Dordogne and Garonne rivers are just waiting to be explored. There are wonderful local markets to browse through all year round, and excellent night markets during the summer months, where local produce can be sampled. Children will be in heaven at Grand Pierre. There are cherries, apricots, peaches, pears and grapes to pick, bikes to ride, chickens to chase, trees to climb, vines to picnic under and Shetland ponies to ride. And the Atlantic coast, with its beaches and surf, is just 1 hour 45 minutes away.
